Hickstead PL went ahead despite all the rain that has hit Britain this week.
The show was a great success, the only part of the ground that the weather affected was the lorry park where we were being towed in and out.
We took three horses to compete, Sandman in a PSG and his first Int I, Ramazzottie in the same classes and Nurejev in the Inter II.
They split the PSG on the first day so I had a horse in each. Both guys were excellent, Sandman is improving all the time and he took the class on 73.50%, Ramazzottie, who was only doing his second show for the year won the other class with 71.63%.
Nurejev, I couldn't be happier with how he is going, he loves the shows and is growing with confidence each time out.He finished 4th in the Int II on 65.69%
On the second day was the Int I. This was Sandman's first test at this level and is still quite green with the lines required. He stayed with me really well and despite a couple of small errors took the class with 73.63%
Ramazzottie was very excited in his class. He even tried to run of with me across the diagonal in the extended canter, He was having to much fun to concentrate and we finished 6th on 65.88%
